The directory contains the names, addresses, telephone numbers and medical specialties of doctors who spend the majority of their time treating cancer patients.
The names of the doctors included in the PDQ directory have been compiled from the membership directories of 17 medical societies in the United States and Canada. Doctors conducting clinical trials that are included in the PDQ protocol file are also listed in the directory file. PDQ also lists more than 2,300 health care organizations that have organized programs of cancer care and more than 4,000 accredited breast cancer screening facilities.
The inclusion of individual doctors and organizations in the directory file does not imply endorsement by the National Cancer Institute of the United States.
